What exactly do they do during an Ultrascreen Test?

What exactly do they do during an Ultrascreen Test?
Just wondering if anyone can share what their experience was. Is it just like a sonogram, just more detailed?

the sonogram.. they measure the neck folds and size of the head... its long maybe 15-20min... i enjoyed every minute watching my baby on the screen that long
the run blood tests for certain things pertaiing to your genetic history... you should be seeing a genetic coulseler as well i believe...

Its done in two parts and blood is taken. Thats pretty much it. I had a sono and blood taken at 13wks and went back today at 16wks for more blood to be taken.
Then you get the results.

I sent the blood in before the ultrasound and they gave me the results right then at 13 weeks. That was for down's testing.
The 16 week bloodwork was for spina bifida testing and it's bloodwork they will do in the office.

I think this is what I did... because my doctor said that they'd have the results of the ultrascreen within like an hour of it.
