What exactly is a gel manicure?
And are there any cons to getting one? I'm sick of getting a manicure every week, only for my polish to look all ghetto after a couple of days. Today at the salon I heard someone ask for "a gel manicure" and now I'm curious.
I don't want long nails, I just want the polish to stay nice for longer than twelve hours!

As far as I know, it is when they put a coat of gel on your nail- almost like a silk wrap type deal (my guess anyway.)
