What exactly works in those preggie pop candies?

What exactly works in those preggie pop candies?
I bought them at destination maternity because I'll try anything for my MS, but reading the ingredients, I'm not sure how they differ from any other sucking candy?
Anyone else know why they are supposed to work? They are good, but I'm not sure if they are really doing anything....

For some people sour just helps with the morning sickness a little... I have NO idea why... I found that Jolly Ranchers helped... I bought a 5 lb bag at BJ's

they actually did not work for me. i found that blow pops worked better. in the beginning i felt so sick i always needed to have something in my mouth - the blow pops were good b/c first i had the lolly and then the gum!
ETA: although i am not sure how healthy they could be
