what foods not to give your baby
i know no peanuts or honey - the doctor said only the yolk of the egg ( when can i give him the whole egg?) what other stuff can i not give my son. Should i introduce foods like i did with the jarred food - one new thing every three days?

Re: what ffods not to give your baby
Because of my own allergies, I held off on a lot of things for Michael - he is over 2 and still has not had peanuts/peanut butter or honey (PB mainly because of choking)... and because I have a severe allergy to sesame seeds, he has not had anything containing that particular seed.
Anyway, Michael got egg yolks (hated it) at 10 months old. After he turned 1 I started giving him scrambled eggs/omelets - he doesn't like it.
I have always and still do at least the 2/3 day rule - although he has pretty much eaten everything at this point. Like I said I have my own allergies and I figured better to keep an eye on new things - it can't hurt!
Enjoy trying the new things!!!

Re: what ffods not to give your baby
I have always given Ava the whole egg with no problems, but every dr. will say something different. I'd ask the ped. when to give the whites. I don't really wait anymore when giving a new food. Besides milk, the only thing she's ever had a reaction to was avocado, and that was an instant reaction. If it makes you feel more comfortable, wait two days in between new foods.

No shellfish either, they are an allergen as well.
