what happens at the growth scan sono?

im very excited we go next monday for our growth scan we are excited we finally get to see but what else are we to expect??

The level II scan is about 45 minutes and measures the baby's internal organs to make sure they are growing at the appropriate rates. Checks the blood flow through the 4 chambers of the heart. Looks at the brain and stem and measures the baby over all. It also can tell you the sex of the child. If they find any problems they can let you know that too.

ETS: Sorry I misread the question. The growth sono was about 15 minutes for DS. They just check that they are growing and to see if they are doing kicks/moving.

my growth sono was alot faster than the level 2 sono-

i believe they check some measurements to get a gauge of how much the baby weighs- and they check the fluid surrounding the baby.

Mine is in about a week also but yeah, I think it will be similar to the level II but not as much detail in the organ scans. My level II was about 1 hour. They told me the growth sono will be about 1/2 an hour.

We're so I'm thinking the tech will not be panning all over the place.
