What happens at the Peds Office?
My twins are 4 months old and I am not happy with their ped. So far every time we have gone they havent listened to their heart and lungs and I almost feel like they are in a rush.
Does your ped do a whole check up every month and if so what do they do?
Thank you

Re: What happens at the Peds Office?
When we go for a checkup, the nurse brings us into a room, weighs DD, and measures her length and her head.
Then, the Dr comes in, listens to her lungs (and I assume her heart), checks her legs, and sometimes her private area. Then, they ask me how long she sleeps, what and how much she eats, etc. And then they give her her shots if she needs them.
I'm not a doctor, but I would imagine that they would want to listen to their lungs and heart. I also feel like you should never feel like they are in a rush!

Our ped does the same plus feels her stomach and checks her eyes and ears.
ITA that they should want to listen to heart/lungs and should not rush you through the appt.
Sometimes the wait at our peds office is more than I'd like but at least I know some DC and their parents are getting the attention they need.
ETA: I know a great ped near LIJ. We had to leave her because we moved but I'd highly recommend her if you are interested.

Re: What happens at the Peds Office?
They dont listen to their chest ever and they never ask me about their sleeping habits...I called the other day for some advice and they were just quick to get me off the phone...I think I am done..

Re: What happens at the Peds Office?
Since they are twins are they giving you 2 appts. They are individuals and should be treated as such. I would give it one more try and demand 2 slots and see what happens.
