What Has Been Your Experience With Trying To Get Your IVF Pre-Certified Without a Hitch
Hi Everyone,
I am about to start my IVF cycle. AF is due any day. I will soon find out if my insurance GHI will PRE-CERTIFY me or will I have to fight for it. My benefits cover 3 cycles a lifetime but I was told they want you to try several IUI's first and then if it doesn't work then on to IVF.
In our case this wasn't an option. We have SEVERE MALE FACTOR INFERTILITY so right on to IVF for us. I am so nervous to see if my insurance GHI denies it (and will I have to appeal). I am hoping with this diagniosis (severe male factor) they will approve it.
However, the positive to this is that I am going on my DH benefits as a SECONDARY insurance come Janeuary 1st so just in case they do give me a hard time I have this to fall back on. And, his benefits..CIGNA cover 100% -NO PRE-CERT where as mine covers 75%.
Just wondering if anyone used GHI and what there experience might have been. PLEASE..wish us luck!
Happy Holidays! Keri

Good luck to you! I actually have Cigna and they cover 100% as you already know. I believe I'm limited to 4 cycles of IVF lifetime.
