What has made you happy recently?
Just continuing off another post.
I do cat sitting in the area for some extra cash.
I was in an area which has this lovely Malaysian restaurant. I got the most lovely chicken lemongrass curry and sat and had a great meal.
So what has made you happy recently?

Spending a few days on a beach vacation and getting to go to the beach every day and spend time in the ocean with my daughter. It was so much fun.
And just being away from the insanity of work for a few days. It was heavenly.

I've been enjoying being able to read more than I normally do. The kids and I have been at the pool a lot and it's been really relaxing to sit by the edge of the pool with my feet in the water and my Kindle in hand.
I've also been baking a lot, specifically biscotti which I love. I've enjoyed playing around with new flavor combinations.
I love the shows on the Magnolia Network. I grab a cup of hot tea, a cozy spot on the couch and it's all so very hygge to me.
It's been a fun (but quick) summer!

What has made you happy recently?
I've been happy watching my son play with friends - outside, having fun and off of video games. He never was one who would sit at home much until well, covid - so it makes me happy seeing him so happy.

Being able to make plans with my hubby and friends on the weekends as he haven’t had weekends off in years. We can say yes to everything and it is great.

Taking a full weekend completely off the internet and social media. It was phenomenal. Normal. No anxiety. No anger. I may make it permanent.

The 5 minutes every morning that my dogs snuggle with me. My puppy army crawls slowly up my body to give me kisses and buries his head in my neck. And my old man pup comes off of the pillow he sleeps on over my head to lay on my chest and give me kisses. Then they clean each other’s faces for a while until it’s time for their belly rubs.

I was happy to have a girls weekend with my college roomates.
I was happy to celebrate my son's birthday.
My cousin had a baby so that is happy news for us.

I am happy because I have off from work tomorrow and Monday and my son will be in camp both days!!! I love my son to death but all my vacation time in the summer is usually spent trying to keep him occupied and I finally took some days to do what I wanted to do!! Tomorrow my DH and I are going kayaking and Monday I hope to spend time at the beach with a friend without her kids too!!!

Went to Myrtle Beach with 3 other female friends and it was nice getting to know them better and floating in the lazy river.
