I want something inexpensive (under $10 a bottle) since I'll be tripling the recipe. TIA!

I use Opici wine, the jug is about $15. Everyone in my family drinks it and loves it!

Emerill suggests using a dry wine - specifically Rioja. sangria recipe
I have found that any red wine works fine since the flavor of the fruit blends with the wine

a cheap one
I like using Concha y Toro...I think the Frontera, or a cheap spanish wine.
but any cheap dry red will do.

AMEN to the cheap! I use whatever is palatable and on sale! I prefer dry reds for dark sangria. And brandy.
