What is a migraine exactly?

What makes it different than a regular headache? I have a huge headache and I am soooooo nauseous... are those the symptoms of a migraine?

Yes. Also sensitivity to light is a big part of it too. Vision can be affected, blurred or spots.

for me, it's mainly in one area like around my eye or temple, my nose gets very stuffy and the naseau(sp?). I've had maybe 2 auras over the years- 1-2 hours of seeing spots,sparkles, flashes through my vision- very wierd.

Thank you. Yep, no doubt that's what I have.

Thanks for that link Christine - I learned alot from that. I had no idea that there were triggers and three things I did/happened yesterday definitely triggered this.

I used to be plagued with migraines, but mine were brought on by excessive stress. Fortunately I've only had 1 in the last 6 months, but when I first starting getting them they lasted weeks at a time. I hope you're feeling better soon!
