Sorry to crash...I'm not a bio. parent, but I'm a stepmomChat Icon

I work in EI and during our evaluations our providers like to see children start to stack @ 12 months (2 to 3 cubes)

..Hope that helps Chat Icon

eta: EVERY child is different, so if we don't see it its not an automatic "red flag"

Emma is 19 months and has been stacking blocks for a while. Maybe since like 14 months or so? I forget. Then she loves to knock them over and laugh hysterically.

DS is 14 mos and I can't remember when he started doing this but at least a month ago and he will stack blocks if I start doing it - I have never really seen him initiate it though.

I could safely say by the time he/she is 14-15 mts old, they should be stacking blocks. Before that age, it could happen, but gross motor skills and hand eye coordination get a bit more solid by age 15 mts....

DS has been stacking blocks since about a year or so. He can stack all 10 of his Parents blocks up now at 18 months.

we didnt have any blocks till recently...lol..so it wont help much but he is 17 months now and he can stack a few, sometimes 10 or so, some days only 3 before they continually fall down.
