What is my dd going to wear when she first gets home to sleep at night?
I am just thinking about this i am due earlySeptember ( 9th) so it can stil lbe kind of warm then. I have a lot of the one piece sleepers with feet but they all seem to be more wintery in my opinion. I also have some of the ( not really sure what you call them) they are like gowns i guess with either a closed or open bottom and they seem to be lighter. Also do i swaddle her in teh ehat of spetmeber? iofd i do what doe she wear underneathe??? I haven't had my baby yet but at the class I was just at, they suggest layering clothes on the baby and dressing them the way you feel. If your chilly, then dress the baby accordingly. The layette gowns are good because it's easy to get to their diapers for changing. You won't anything that will irratate the belly button/cord until that heals.
Also, check the baby's warmth or coldness by placing the back of your hand on their belly. You really can't tell by their hands or feets.
I hope this helps a little.

If you have ac the feety sleep and plays would work too since you can't put a blanket on her just yet.
DD has been sleeping in sleep and plays and light feety pj's since her birth. We have a/c too.
Def just have to see if you have a hot baby or not. Gianna takes after her daddy and is always warm. Dressing her like you dress is a good tip. Overdressing is a factor for sids since their body temps become elevated.
You are soo close

My DD was born 9/7/05 and it was very warm last year at that time! She always wore the gowns in the beginning...easy for nighttime diaper changes. We also did swaddle her and I'm pretty sure we had the AC going at night.

If there is ac I would recommend footy pajamas --- right now our daughter is almost 10 months and even in the AC we leave her in a onesie, but you'll want to be more careful with a newborn.
I'd recommend setting the AC at around 74 if you can so it doesn't get too cold in her room and also using footsie pjs.

I dress DD according to how I feel - If I'm hot, she's probaby hot.
We have central air - so DD sleeps in 2 peice long sleeve pj's or feetie pj's - (cotton).
If you want to swaddle - They make cotton ones - And myabe out put her in a onsie and swaddled or cotton pj's and swaddled.

DD is always hot like her daddy. we let her sleep in just a onesie and sometimes swaddle her if the ac is on
dress the baby how you feel temp wise.

If the a/c is on feety PJs are perfect. If not, they do sell PJs without feet. I read that whatever you are wearing, the baby needs one more layer. They dont regulate their body temps as well as infants.
