What is next in the home buying process..appraisal just completed

We are waiting for the appraisal report to come back. If the house appraises what is next mortgage? How long does it take for the apprasier to write their report?

It took us about a week to receive our report. Once we did and the house was appraised for more than we were paying, we just waited for the closing date.

I think behind the scenes, the loan goes into underwriting and the mortgage company and attorneys work together to get everything closed on time.

Also - Dont forget to start shopping around for homeowners insurance during this time. You will need to have that all set up before your closing date.

Yes, next the mortgage goes to the underwriter, then we got the mortgage certificate that we got final approval, then it goes to the town for the title search. After the title search comes back, the closing date is set.
