What is the best product for protecting your hair while using a flat iron?
I finally am using a flat iron on my hair. Is it ok to use it on my hair while it's damp? I have the wet-to-dry iron, but I do notice it steaming and sizzling when I use it on damp hair 
What is a good product to use to protect my hair from being fried? TIA!

Whenever I get a blowout I let my stylist use the Paul Mitchell Super-Skinny Smoothing Serum. It is very good.

L'Oreal Professional Absolut Repair
apply both when hair is wet/damp then style as
usual. I have no breakage and no split ends.
