What is the best way to get rid of misquitos and flies?
Had a BBQ the other day and we had flies swarming like crazy. I just can't enjoy the outdoors like this.
What have you used that worked really well?
We've tried citronella candles and a bug lantern that Off sells.
Cutter makes a spray that you can use, I pick that up. Maybe one of those zapper bug lanterns?

We love the bug spray from Cutter. It's a gray and blue bottle for outdoors and it hooks up to your hose. We spray it all over. On the trees over our deck the deck, the front of the house and the back door as well. It lasts a few weeks before you need to spray again unless it rains a lot. It is a miracle worker

Cutter DOES work really well.. however be aware that it is a neurotoxin and also a 'likely' carcinogen. You must not spray it in or near fish ponds (it will kill the fish). If you have cats or dogs.. keep them away because it is toxic to them and they do lick their fur. You'd also need to keep any kids off the lawn until it dries completely. I don't use it because of the harmful potential.
I use a mosquito tent on the deck, a bug zapper and OFF. I still get bitten.. but it's less than without those things.
If you drink really heavily then the bug bites stop bothering you after a while.

I have something called The Mosquito Deleto. I did not get bothers by 1 mosquito at my BBQ yesterday.
