What is the 'catch' on the web only price on Southwest.com?
We are looking into flights on Southwest and see they give prices, then there is a price that is about half of the other prices and it says 'web only'. We can't seem to find out what the deal is with these flights. What are we missing? Does anybody know? TIA!!!!!!

I think it is limited seats, and only available if you purchase online. No catch - we've gotten great prices with these seats many times.

Exactly what they say, They are WEB ONLY. When you call the reservationists won't give you that price. I love SW Airlines!

I'm looking more into it and it says no refunds if you have to cancel. But I wonder if it means if the airline cancels the flight due to bad weather. The weekend we have a wedding has been the same weekend for the past two years that my parents have gotten stuck and can't fly out, due to weather.

Discounted airline tickets are non refundable unless you purchase a full fare airline ticket and it says refundable. It has nothing to do w/bad weather.

I think if they cancel you are covered, it's only if you cancel that it is non-refundable

You'll get a refund IF the airline cancels the flight...if you cancel then no refund. The WEB specials are only booked online.....if you went to a TA or called the airline, they wont have that same fare.

its non refundable but everythig else is the same. we booked web only prices and our flight home was canceled due to bad weather. We had all the same rights as everyone else who paid full price etc.
And even though it says non refunable, you are allowed to exchange it and use it at another time (i think within 6 months) for a fee of course
