i think in the off season it is like home goods. and then sells christmas during the fall.

Nope they have a lot of discounted items.. they carry extended stock of seasonal merchandise during the time that they are in. Also they have things other than Christmas items.

Yes - they have some great stuff for really good prices.
They are owned by Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I LOVE the Christmas Tree Shop. I wouldn't say it is like Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They have a ton of seasonal stuff and home stuff at discounted prices.
eta - I go to the one in Orange, CT when visiting my mom. I heard a rumor awhile back they were putting one somewhere on LI.

only the best store ever! Ok not really but they do have good deals on things....there's one in Freehold, NJ near where I live...and I know there's one in CT near Danbury...

It is only the greatest store EVER! It has a ton of stuff in it...like a low level WalMart or a higher level Big Lots. It has tons of home decor, gifts, housewares, picture frames, you name it...it has it and for a very low price.

I went to one up in Rochester while visiting my parents - they're an upgrade to Home Goods, but a little diff from BB&B. They have wonderful items - my parents got a set of 3 side tables made of oak wood and not the flaky wood for under $50. They have beautiful frames, glassware, dishware, housewares, outside house tools, etc etc etc.
I had way too much fun in that store! I also bought a coat for my dog, bibs that say I Love my Aunt/Uncle on them for my nephews, etc.

They have great stuff for every season! Small home furninshings, housewares. Hallmark cards at half off! Fantastic buys on gift wrap and bags.
SO Excited for the Deer Park store. I believe the outlet center opens 10/23, but not sure if that includes the Christmas Tree shop.
