What is the earliest you should test with the HPT?
I mean before AF comes.

people have gotten BFP as early as 8DPO...
the lucky number seems to be 13DPO

i personally wouldn't test until after 10dpo. The magic number on this site, like D said has been 13dpo..

I got both my BFP on day 11 - never earlier - (and I tested on 10 DPO both times).

Depends on what you mean by "should." FRER can pick up HcG as early as 4 days before AF, and often earlier than that.
But if you want to avoid unnecessary disappointment, you probably ought to wait until a couple days before AF. Seems to end up being accurate for most people one way or the other at that point.
But, I admit that I start testing at 9DPO b/c I had a positive at that time in the past. And it drives me crazy!

I would not test before 10 DPO.
The earliest they say that HPTs can detect is 5 days before your MISSED period - which is 4 days before AF is due (typically 10 DPO).
Personally, I try not to test before 12-13 DPO - if I test at all.

I tested 11DPO with DS last time. Just wondering what was the norm for "early testers". I will wait for a few more days.

I've gotten a BFP at 11 and 12 DPO (12 because I didn't trust the faint line I saw on day 11).

I've said it before, if there is a stick in my house, I WILL pee on it. So, I try not to buy them before 11 DPO as that seems reasonable.

Not restraint! It's just over a year of disappointment has burned me !

I don't know if it helps, but my 2 BFPs were at 12 & 13dpo...I usually try to hold out until at least 13dpo though...
