what is up with my DD??? napping related 16month old

My dd is 16months and has napped beautifully all summer. she started the summer with 2 naps a day and then easily transitioned to one good nap. the one nap was usually around 11:30 and lasted 2 hours.

HOWEVER now she refuses to nap and if she does it is only an hour which is NOT enough because she is cranky all day! she is also getting up an hour earlier too.

every time i put her down for a nap she screams horribly and will do so for 1/2 an hour if i dont get her. in the morning she wakes up screaming.

i dont know what to do?? what happened to my good sleeper who used to fall asleep for naps on her own and then play in her crib when she got up and was happy. now she is miserable and it is making me miserableChat Icon

I would try putting her down for her nap later. The earliest I can get DS down is 12:30 and he is 20 months.

Kaydyn has become the same way. She has only had 1 nap since 11 months but it was always 2-3 hours. Now she'll wake up after an hour screaming. For the most part we leave her because we know she needs the sleep. She'll cry for about 10 mins or so and then she'll fall back to sleep for another hour or so.

She wakes up around 7:30 (weekdays) - 8:30 (weekends) and goes in for a nap around 12:30-1

DD is the same way. She's 15 months.

I out her down in her crib for a nap, she's instantly up and crying. I try to CIO but she hasn't quite figured out how to sit down from a standing position so she gets stuck, so there's no chance of her eventually going to sleep.

She's the same way during the night. She wakes up once and then it's up every hour.

It's exhausting. Chat Icon

I think it's because she is really starting to understand her world and she doesn't want to miss any of it.
