Re: What is your favorite baby item?
Favorite bouncy seat: FP Newborn-to-toddler rocker
Favorite mobile: Tiny Love Symphony in Motion mobile (very stimulating for baby, not just stuffed animals going around)
Favorite stroller: LOVE my Snap N' Go with my Graco SnugRide carseat...DD is 7 months and I want to cry thinking of when she can't fit in it anymore-- it is soooo convenient (so is the Snap N' Go)
Accessory: Bundle Me...like I mentioned, DD is 7 months and still in the infant seat, and I don't need to put a heavy jacket on her in this, since I'm not taking her out of the car seat outside. Guess it kind of depends on when your baby is due whether it would be very useful for you (DD was born in June). They also make a Bundle Me Lite version, so that could be an option too.
Accessory: baskets for bottle parts for the dishwasher. We have 4 of them and use them all every other day...for nipples, caps, lids, etc.
Boppy pillow, without a doubt
Jumperoo-- we have the Rainforest one and DD loves it. She isn't as into the Exercsaucer, but she's more an active child than a mellow one.
Swing: we had the Papasan one, but I can't really rate it b/c DD didn't really like being in a swing. But I've heard raves about it.

Re: What is your favorite baby item?
I love my stroller.....I have the Chicco Cortina travel system....we also love our NB to Toddler Rocker. My DS is only 2 months old so we haven't started using a whole lot.....he doesn't seem to love his swing yet....too bad because I did (the starlight popasan swing). Who knows, maybe he will start to like it.

Re: What is your favorite baby item?
DS loved his FP Papasan Swing and got his best sleep in it and it was a lifesaver in the beginning when he wouldn't sleep in the crib. He also loved his FP rainforst bouncer...he would just stare at the waterfall when he was little.

Re: What is your favorite baby item?
LOVE my Fisher Price Papasan swing, worth it's wait in gold for the hours of peace it gave me!!!
Baby Bjorn
Evenflo Exersacuer with pond theme. Yes it's many times more $$ than other exersaucers, but it keeps DS so happy and occupied.
The swaddle me helped him sleep well.

Re: What is your favorite baby item?
There was this blanket that i bought from Circo at Target to swaddle DS in.
I tell ya swaddling always worked for my baby. I did that until he was 5 months old. I hated to give it up. But the Circo blanket that I bought was the best thing to swaddle him in. I had to buy a new one b/c i stretched it out so bad.
ETA: Oh yeah and the DVD happiest baby on the block and my boppy pillow.

Re: What is your favorite baby item?
My initial list when we first got home:
The Summer handheld video monitor: this has saved me SO many trips to the nursery. It’s incredible. I can hear him breathing and keep an eye on him from anywhere – it’s an anxious mom’s best friend.
The Boppy: if you are breastfeeding this is an absolute must. I had DH bring it to the hospital for me and it goes wherever I go.
Miracle Blanket: So much easier than trying to swaddle him with a blanket.
Pack N Play: I highly recommend it – especially if you have a two story house. It’s the only way I get anything done.
Now at 9 months:
Jumperoo - Fisher Price Rainforest
Baby Einstein Videos - My First Signs - he just LOVES this one.
Bottle Warmer - especially if you have a daycare that warms the bottles - they get used to that and want it at home too.

Re: What is your favorite baby item?
Oh, I forgot two:
Angelcare monitor-- my #1 favorite baby item!!!!!!!!!! Couldn't sleep without this thing!
And I agree about The Happiest Baby on the Block, we didn't know a DVD existed, but when DD was in the stages of colic, DH read the book in 24 hours. It worked WONDERS!!!!!!

Re: What is your favorite baby item?
Video Monitor has been great since we live in a two story home.
For the short while she was in it, I loved our snugride with the bundle me in it.
I LOVED our Arm's Reach Co-sleeper. We used that for much longer than we expected. I loved having her next to us for so long. It was nice.

Re: What is your favorite baby item?
Bouncy Seat - Papisan seat for when they are a NB and FP infant to toddler rocker. They loved them.
Stroller - the snap and go. Loved it.
Accessories - The bundle me if you baby will be in cold weather for the first 6 months. It is great not to have to get a jacket on your baby.
The pajams that are blankets. The boys lived in those the first few months.
Toy - I would get the activity gym. It is one of the few toys that they can play with in the beginning.
