What is your favorite "couples getaway"?
We are hoping to do several long weekends next year. 3-4 days. What do you guys do to get away from it all?

My husband and I go to New Hope PA/lambertsvile NJ
We are going In February for the long weekend and staying at the Lambertville Inn. Love that place
I would love to go to Monhank mountain but the prices for a weekend are crazy.

Boston is a great town any time of the year.
I, too, have wanted to go to Mohonk but it's so expensive. That's the kind of place where if it pops up on Groupon, I would absolutely purchase it. (And if I see it there, I'll post here!)

of all places, Orlando - flight and hotel are usually inexpensive (we don't stay at disney) - lots of restaurants - easy to get reservations just for 2!
Washington DC
Philadelphia

Re: What is your favorite "couples getaway"?
not necessarily "couples" getaways but we are a couple and have gone alone so they count each year for our anniversary, we take a trip... most of them have been extended weekend type trips and we have loved all of them: salem, philadelphia, boston and chicago. we've also done lake george and definitely want to do newport rhode island sometime soon.

Re: What is your favorite "couples getaway"?
We were invited to a wedding in Virginia over a year ago and made it into a little vacation... We had a GREAT time!
We stayed in a hotel in Virginia and did some shopping.. went to restaurants.. and did some sight seeing in Washington DC! .. I don't remember the town in Virginia we were in but I just know it was 45 mins outside of DC. If anyone is interested though I could figure it out! It was near some GREAT shopping and really good restaurants!

We were actually kicking around DC as our first getaway. He was also thinking Atlanta since I will be close to there for some business and we could just meet there. I saw the Georgia Aquarium in a magazine or something and want to see the whale sharks.

I like the Poconos. You can check out the resorts with the wonderfully cheesy rooms, champagne glass hot tub and everything All joking aside, I actually do like it there. There is plenty to do on site, and obviously lots of in the room. The resorts include breakfast and dinner too, and the food is pretty good!
