What is your favorite winter WW meal/recipe?
Mine is hands down the WW chili recipe Bri posted. Makes so much and perfect for quick lunches and dinners.

Also this past weekend I made a pork tenderloin and that was awesome and I didn't realize pork was pretty low in points. I just bought the Smith's already marinated pork tenderloin and cooked it according to directions on the package. Made that with some fresh sautéed spinach with EVOO and garlic and it was yummy! Looking for some more winter WW meal ideas/recipes. What are some of your favorites?

Re: What is your favorite winter WW meal/recipe?
I LOVE the ww chili recipe but for a change I will add this one...it is great if you love Ethopian/Moroccan/exotic type food! Just warning you it's not everyone's cup of tea...this was not DH approved
Moroccan Slow-Cooker Stew
POINTS® Value: 4 Servings: 6 Preparation Time: 15 min Cooking Time: 365 min Level of Difficulty: Easy Though delicious on its own, our cumin-scented stew can also please heartier appetites when spooned over whole wheat couscous and sprinkled with minced cilantro.
* 1 spray(s) cooking spray * 1 small onion(s), chopped * 1 medium garlic clove(s), minced * 1 medium butternut squash, peeled, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch cubes* * 1 cup(s) carrot(s), baby * 1 cup(s) canned crushed tomatoes * 1/2 cup(s) vegetable broth * 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon * 1/2 tsp ground cumin * 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes * 15 oz canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed * 1/2 tsp table salt
Instructions
* Coat a small skillet with cooking spray. Add onion and garlic; sauté for 5 minutes.
* Place squash in a 3-quart or larger slow cooker (crockpot). Add sauteed onion and garlic, carrots, tomatoes, broth, cinnamon, cumin and red pepper flakes. Cover and turn on to low heat; simmer for 6 hours.
* Add chickpeas and salt. Stir, cover and heat for an additional 5 minutes. Yields about 1 1/3 cups per serving.
Notes
* *Partially cooking a hard-shell squash makes it easier to peel. Pierce the gourd in several places with a fork, microwave on HIGH for 6 to 10 minutes, depending on size, and then peel.
Top with plain, fat-free Greek yogurt to help cut the spice (may affect POINTS values).

Re: What is your favorite winter WW meal/recipe?
My favorite has to be WW chili made in the crockpot. So yummy! I also like baked ziti. I use ff Ricota, whole wheat pasta, lowfat mozzarella and turky chop meat or soy crumbles. I don't remember the exact points but it's pretty low. It's so good!

Re: What is your favorite winter WW meal/recipe?
There is a Salsa Chicken recipe that I love...really easy too and I believe it's 4 points a serving.
Take 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts and put them into a ziploc bag. Add a packet of taco seasoning and shake. Place chicken into a sprayed dish and pour a jar of salsa over it. Bake in a preheated over (I think 375) for 20 minutes; 5 minutes before it's done, take it out and put a dollop of FF sour cream on each piece of chicken. It melts over it...
Really yummy and easy!!!

What's the point value with the chili? I saw there was some back and forth in that last post about it and I want to make sure I account correctly for it. THANK YOU!!!!

I FINALLY tried this recipe. I make a good chili - so I was really hesitant to change it up... but this was FABULOUS! The dressing gave it just the right amount of zip and the refried beans thickened it without any mesa flour. LOVED it and so did my family!
As to other winter time favorites, I really like a plain roasted chicken. I brine it for extra flavor, stuff it with an herb bundle and some citrus fruits, and make a dry rub of kosher salt, pepper, Herbes de Provence, garlic and paprika - and sprinkle it on and under the skin. It makes the house smell fantastic and it tastes wonderful - very homey. I serve it with roasted veggies - carrots, potatoes, onions, squash - whatever you like. Toss them in a little EVOO and kosher salt and fresh ground pepper. Then put them on a baking sheet and bake until tender - about 35 minutes (nuke the potatoes for 5 minutes or cut them really small before putting them in).
