What items not off my registry yet should we purchase?
I had my shower 2 weeks ago and although I know DH's family and my own will still be purchasing some big items off the registry, are there any items which are not yet purchased that DH and I should buy if we don't receive?
Also, to streamline and get what we really will use, are there any big items that are useless and could be removed?
Also, we received the City Mini as our stroller, but I am registered for the Bugaboo Bee-is there any need for both or should I get rid of the Bee?
My BRU registry number is 43037888 and if you go there, you will get my name and city for my Buy Buy Baby registry! I don't want to post my whole name and location here although it is easy to find on my sono pics! Or FM me and I will give you the info-I just don't want to post it-I want to make it hard!
I really appreciate it.

i would atleast get the monitor, the nursery bedding, and the pnp depending on your house set up... for us we used ours with ds ALOT because we have a cape and it was easier to change him in the pnp down stairs....

Thanks! My buddy Vanessa (scarletbegonia) gave us the Angelcare-is that okay? We have a ranch and she would generally be close by-we figured when we move her to her own room, we would get the sound monitor and DH would set up webcams (he is in IT).
I also just got a new PnP today from our friends-not the one on our registry, but Graco.

Besides a bottle drying rack, I honestly don't think you will NEED any of it right in the beginning. Even though you had a shower, you will be amazed at how many people will send you stuff after you give birth. Unless you feel something is a necessity, I would wait.
As far as your strollers go, I don't think you need the City Mini and a Bee.

as long as you have the baby in your room you should be good... we had to move ds to the crib early on (2 weeks) because he kept us up with his constant moving while sleeping....
i also meant to put that you shoud get some form of a pump even if it is a hand pump to start... we had latch issues with ds an i started pumping the day we got home...

Thanks! I think I will delete the Bee-I love the City Mini!

Oh-I thought I should wait-if that is the case I put the Medela on my registry to get the completion discount.

Re: What items not off my registry yet should we purchase?
Honestly, if you're planning on going back to work, I would just buy the pump. I used mine the first week to help with engorgement, then started pumping at 3 weeks PP to build a freezer stash. But if you want to try using a handheld for that I suppose it's OK- but there goes your 10% savings.
Also- I hated the Medela bags. They ALWAYS seemed to split in the freezer and that freezer storage thing took up too much space in the freezer. After BFing 2 babies to a year each, I SWEAR by the Lansinoh bags. They stack nice and flat and almost never broke.
It looks like you got everything else you need though- that's GREAT!

Thanks! I will change the Medela to the Lanisoh.
What are the difference between the pumps?

A handheld isn't electric and is time consuming. BUT- it does work in a pinch. I accidently left my Medela PIS at work and didn't realize it until that night. I had to run out to a Rite Aid to buy a hand held and used that.

When I say "hand held" I mean the manual ones. I suppose all pumps could be considered "hand held"- but the portable electric ones are quite a bit bigger.

i only suggested to have a small handheld if she didnt want to make the expense at first... i actually had both a small hand held manual pump and a double electric.... i kept the small hand held one in my car incase i was stuck somewhere and had to pump... which came in handy because i ended up only pumping

Oh, okay-I have medical issues with my hands, so I probably wouldn't buy a manual.

I HIGHLY recommend the PIS Advanced. My SIL and I had babies within weeks of each other and we both had Medla pumps, but I had the advanced model. She always said she had, "pump envy" because mine had the "let down" feature.
Also- check out the local hospital or a lactation consultant. Many times you can buy them MUCH cheaper than through BRU (even with the 10% completion coupon). I wish I'd known that when I bought mine.
