Maybe it's just that my Waldbaums has the WORST bread section, but I'm drawing a blank.

I use either inside out french baguette or italian bread.

You're right - it is the WORST/

I find that KeyFood up in the Whitestone shopping center has a bit better bread selection.

I like baguettes or ciabatta for panini's.

Have you guys ever been to Press195 up on Bell?

YUMMMMY panini's & their belgian fries with dipping sauces are out of this world. They have a great menu for panini inspirations.

My fave is the #13 - buffalo mozzerella, tomato & honey maple pesto...

OHHH I so want this for dinner tonight...Chat Icon

Try this..

Go to your favorite pizzeria and buy some pizza dough (it's like 2 bucks). Go home, spread it out on a cookie sheet. Brush it olive oil. Sprinkle freshly chopped rosemary and some fresh garlic with a few thin sliced onions and a little toss of kosher salt.

Throw it in the oven at 375 until it puffs up and gets golden brown. Let it cool a bit and then cut it into sandwich sized pieces.

That's nice for a panini!

Stop and Shop has a nice selection of rolls and breads that are good for paninis. We like something with a crunchy crust personally. They have lots of sizes of rolls, so we use different ones depending on the meal, etc. We rarely use bread slices.

i like to use country bread for most paninis - we get it at the farmer's market.

but if we're just doing tomato, mozzarella, & pesto... then i like to use ciabatta

I use pocketless pitas from BJ's ... I can't remember the name. But they are sturdy and they come out great everytime!
