what kind of crib do you have?

Would you get a nice one that looks like furniture, or will the baby just destroy it?

How can you research saftey?

thats a nice crib.....my son has one that will convert to a toddler bed and then to a full bed. and we just ordered the new baby one similar.....he hasn't destroyed his crib at all. there might be a couple of scratches in the wood here and there, but nothing noticeable.

My son's crib is a drop side one. My daughter has a convertible crib. They both chewed on the rails when they were teething, and the things I put on to protect the wood were either pulled off by the kids or ruined the wood further.

But my friend's kids didn't chew on their cribs at all. It's a crap shoot really.

This is the crib I plan on getting. You can check the Baby Bargains book and Consumer Reports for saftey.

You should look in Baby Bargains. They have a lot of useful information re: saftey. As for the look of the crib, that's totally a personal decision. You can see the crib we chose in my album.
