What kind of doctor do I see if I suspect I have a pulled muscle? Also, how can I treat it?
I have been doing Tae Bo like crazy for about 2 months. The past few weeks I have been experiencing some bad pain on the right side of my lower back. Nothing really seems to help it (although working out seems to make it worse). It's not unbearable, but it puts me in a cranky mood and DH told me he's sick of me complaining. Anyway, I don't even know what kind of Doctor to see for it? Any advice? TIA!

I would start with your reg Doctor.
I pulled a muscle in my neck many yrs ago and my reg doc was able to help. he gave me ultra sonic heat treatments and a muscle relaxer - that did the trick for me.

I had pain in my lower left back too and figured it was just from the way I picked up the kids or something. Turns out I had a severe kidney infection and had to be hospitalized. Hope yours is just a pulled muscle!

Reg. dr. He may give you drugs and/or send you to physical therapy.

Definately your Reg Dr...I had the same problem & he was able to give me muscle relaxers & also excercises to stretch it out....Try soaking in a epsom salt bath, it really helps loosen the tight muscles...

ITA. I know a good one in Sayville. FM me if you want info.
As someone with chronic back issues (and who fully appreciates good chiropractors), I NEVER go to a chiro for a new issue without consulting a good ortho first. Go to your PCP or an ortho first to figure out what is wrong, and then, if it continues to bother you, go see a good chiro.
And if working out makes it worse, stop working out until you see the doctor. Seriously, back issues are nothing to mess around with... Unfortunately, I know this all too well!

Regular doctors for the most part hate chiros..I haven't met one MD who recommends I go. Even my regular doc that I love doesn't want me to go. But he knows it makes me feel better so he can't say sh!t about it!!
just a warning about MDs and Chiros..

You need to check if it's a disk issue. If not, it's most likely a muscular issue. Either your "erectors" muscles and/or QL muscle. A lot of my mom clients have this problem.
But check with the reg. dr first to make sure it's not a spine/disk issue. You are picking up DD a lot and you could have an herniated disc.
FM if you need more info.
