Home or Co-op Insurance companies

Who do you have your insurance with? We have a one bedroom co-op. I know we can go with our car ins. comp., but we want a diff. company.

Re: Home or Co-op Insurance companies

we used all state for our co-op insurance.
the president of our board works for all state and she gave us a good price, so we went with them!

Allstate is not doing any new homeowners policies in NY, I don't know if this applies to co-ops too.

No way! Do you know why?

We have our car & renters insurance with them. They are who I would have recommended. I love the service Allstate provides with claims...which is the reason we have insurance!Chat Icon

Why do you not want the same company? If you use the same company, you will get an extra discount for being multi-policy.

I have State Farm - no problems with them.

Because our rates will actually go up sky high and the extra policy won't be much of a discount. Chat Icon

They say because of the whole Katrina disaster, they can't afford to give policies in hurricane-prone areas, and Long Island is overdue supposedly. They aren't doing any new policies, and they are cancelling more policies than usual at renewal time.

I also have them for both car and homeowners.
