Grilled Sweet Potatoes
I made these for a BBQ this weekend and they came out sooo good, so I thought I would share the recipe.
Cut up sweet potatoes into 1/2 slices. Put on grill on foil for 8 minutes. In the meantime combine honey and softened butter. Spread on potatoes and then flip. Cook another 6 minutes on the other side and spread butter on the other side and flip again. Continue until butter gets bubbly and potatoes get soft.
It was sooo yummy!

Re: Grilled Sweet Potatoes
And we tried the same technique with russet potatoes last night and it was great too. We used olive oil, garlic and rosemary instead of the honey butter.

Re: Grilled Sweet Potatoes
Sounds yum! I love sweet potatoes on the grill! I make them differently...
Slice them round, on an angle...toss them in a bag (to marinade) with oil & a few dashes of Tobasco (or other hot) sauce and some salt. The hot & sweet blend so nicely together...very flavorful.

Re: Grilled Sweet Potatoes
I do this too, usually I cut them into quarters drop them in a ziploc, pour some olive oil and a little bit of brown sugar in the bag, shake it up, throw them on the grill.

A 1/4 cup of each, let the butter soften and smoosh with the honey.

Re: Grilled Sweet Potatoes
That sounds yummy! I microwave the sweet potatoes whole until they are cooked (7-8 min) then I slice them into wedges and brush them with a melted butter and brown sugar mix and put them on the grill until they have grill marks.... we LOVE them and the kids can't get enough!
