Follow up to feeding schedule post for BFing Moms

What is your schedule? If you have one. Sidney eats every 2 hours during day. We usually get one 3 hr stretch during the day if she takes a long nap. Goes to bed at about 9 -eats at 3am and then its anyones guess after that how often she will wake to eat.

I find it so hard to get on a real schedule....it all depends on when she gets up in the morning.

What do you guys do???

I don't go by a schedule. I haven't forced anything like that with either kid and eventually they set something that works for themselves. I BF on demand. I am a SAHM and always around the kids so its easy for me. Chat Icon

ETA: it looks like you have a schedule already!!

I BF Jesse when he wakes up (anytime between 5-6AM), then again around 9:30AM, 1PM, 4PM and he has a bottle of BM around 6:30PM before bed. He is five months old. The times will change slightly depending upon when he wakes up but that's his basic schedule.

I pretty much let Claire determain her own scheduale and feed her on demand. When I am at work she has 3 bottles of BM, but my mom also waits for her hunger signs before feeding her. An typical day would be
6am (wake up)
9:00
12:00
4:00
7:00
9:00 (before bed)

Luke is pretty much on a 3 hour schedule at almost 2 months old. I find it amazing how punctual he is!

3AM
6AM
9AM
12PM
3PM
6PM
9PM--Formula bottle before bedtime

Of late however, he has been sleeping longer after his last "bedtime" formula feeding--sometimes until 5-5:30 AM. When that does happen his feedings get pushed but still remain at 3 hour intervals.

We have more of a routine than a schedule. Sleep, eat, play. Repeat. She is usually awake no more than 2.5 hours at a time. Her naps can me .5 to 1.5 hours with no predictable pattern. So, the schedule is that she'll be asleep again 2.5 hours after she wakes up -- I just never know what time on the clock that will be heheh.

Most often our day looks like this (she is six months old):
3:30 am eat and right back to sleep
6:30 am wake up and eat
8:30 am nap
9:00 am wake up and eat
11:30 am nap
12:30 pm wake up and eat
3:00 pm nap
3:30 pm wake up and eat
6:15 pm eat and go to sleep for the night

I'm just starting to introduce solids, but that hasn't changed our BFing and nap schedule yet.

my baby is only 2 weeks old so I am feeding on demand - but she is pretty much on a 2-3 hour schedule. Her longest nap is between 3-6 she is fussy at night around 7-8.

She is formula Fed at night time - her last breast milk is usually around 9
