Questions about anxiety??
I know I've read in the past here about people taking meds for anxiety....I'm curious how the anxiety actually feels....I think I may have a problem, it's only in one aspect of my life though, so I'm not sure if it's really anxiety. It's starting to affect my daily life. If it is an anxiety problem, what kind of a dr do I go see? Any insight would be helpful, if you don't feel comfortable posting you can FM me. TIA

First off.... I know how you are feeling and I am sure its frustrating for you.. I go thru anxiety too.. Is it work related? At my old company I had the worst anxiety, it was making me sick. I went to a doctor and it was either A. i go on anti-depressants or B. Quit my job. I quit my job. I didn't want use meds YET. I still have some minor episodes but its not as bad as it was. I dont know exactly what situation your going thru thats making you have anxiety if you want to FM me thats fine.. What I do to help it when i feel an attack coming on is go in my room shut my lights and go to sleep. Let me know if this help I know the feeling and it stinks

For me, it was nerves and thoughts in my head going a mile a minute. I was afraid of social events, thought I would get an attack and people would see me. I worked myself up all the time, over nothing at all, I am a worrier, it runs in my family and I had the shakes and thought I was going to lose control of my mind. I was on meds for 6 months then got off them and have been fine. FM if you have any questions at all.
