One last post...spinoff to great mom's thread....My AMAZING Dad!
I just feel the need to share how amazing my dad has been throughout my pregnancy. He's so nervous and excited and it's adorable. Today he's coming over to take me for my pre-surgical testing, then he's going to take me around to run all my errands and hang out with me. I love him. He's such a solid guy, and I look at JT and know he's going to be the same kind of dad....completely involved in every way.
Thanks for letting me share that!

Hi Rachel,
I don't know you personally but I've lurked on here but remember you from LIW (awesome wedding by the way). I just wanted to say that I am so happy for you. You have such a wonderful family and husband and are truely are real and down to earth person. I love reading your stories because you seem to enjoy your life so much, as you should. I have a really cool story about my dad. I got PG in August and Sept 10th was my sisters engagement party. I was drinking and smoking. It was a Friday night and on Sunday I got a BFP. I told him and he said I knew you were pregnant. I said how. He said I always know when the women in my life are pregnant(he's got 4 kids) So if anyone needs to know if they are PG before the test comes up positive, call my Dad!

I have an amazing Dad too (I'm a TOTAL Daddy's girl), so hearing your story about how involved & excited your Dad is to be a grandpa just warmed my heart..

How sweet!!!! My dad is telling me how he wants to babysit, he is buying the furniture with my mom, he is sooooo excited to be a grandpa and hes been hinting on some sort of surprise that he and my stepmom are doing too. oh and I forgot he takes me food shopping every week to make sure Im eating right!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a great dad! And I love that my husband totally looks up to my dad. Having had a really crappy childhood, JT really has taken to my parents, and it's so cute when my dad sits him down and they have heart to heart talks. My dad never had a son and I know he's so happy to have JT and my BIL (who never had a dad). I feel so proud of him for taking the two of them under his wing. They respect him and love him and it's just so cute. I'm just feeling really fortunate and lucky today. I'm glad I'm able to come here and share that with you girls. Especially with all the crap that goes on in the world, it's so nice to sit and meditate on the important things in life

I am jealous- My dad is so excited too- they were here for a week and now they are gone. I would love it if my dad was close by. That is such a cute story.

Rach that is so cute. I have to say, I LOVE hearing stories about fathers and daughters. Unfortunately I Never was close with my dad, but to see an adult daughter and a dad that have a great relationship, it just makes me melt. I want that so bad for my children

Same here!! My dad doesn't even know my DH's name - when I do talk to him, maybe a couple of times a year he always asks "how's your fella doing?" It's so sad, but I love seeing a father and daughter that are close. So happy for you!!
