We ordered our granite countertop today!!!
OMG-- I am so excited-- I think it will change the whole look of the kitchen and the overall room as it is an open kitchen. Can't wait to see it installed.

I love granite!!! Just curious how much does granite cost. I never looked into it because I have always heard it's really expensive.

I can't wait-- it should go in on Friday-- it was a real quick turnaround-- they took out my old countertop today-- and they are cutting everything and should be able to install pretty quickly.. then we move in next Saturday!!

It depends on what you get-- but, I think it ranges from $50 to $75 a sq. foot installed for the popular stones.

We got corro beige.. We were limited in the tones we needed to look at as- our appliances are white..they are high-end and only 4 yrs old.. otherwise I would have replaced them with stainless steel which goes with more.. and we are not changing the cabinets.. So, there was a certain palette we needed to work within.. Also, the kitchen is open, so we wanted something neutral that would blend in with the rest of the room..
I'll try to take pics on Fri-- it gets put in on Tues-- and then we move on Sat.. so, Fri we'll just be cleaning up and getting everything move in ready!! Bring on the stressful week!! Actually.. should get back to packing now..  DH is at a bachelor party and I am home packing!!
