How much time for the Bronx Zoo?
We were thinking of going to the Bronx Zoo, but my DH has a softball game the same night... so How many hours about do you need at the Bronx Zoo?

I'd say a good 4 hours I think...depends on how interested your kids are, plus time to sit and eat.

It also depends on how crowded it is. I was there for 5 hours and didn't get to see everything. I went last August, it was very crowded, it took forever to get food, the line for the carousel was long too.

Thats what we are trying to avoid... my ds has off from school for an unused snow day and it the middle of the week before schools out.. we're hoping it's not crowded

Wednesdays are free days ("by donation") at the zoo so if its Wed, it is probably going to be pretty crowded. Otherwise, I think 4-5 hours is a good amount of time.

I'd say at least 5 hours. There's so much to see. We spend over an hour in the children's zoo alone.

Whatever you do DONT go on Wednesdays it is so crowded. Whatever day you go its really crowded though because there are so many school trips. we went on thursday and we got there at 1130 and we didnt get to see everything before it closed at 5. It was so cool though. I havent been to the zoo in years. the gorillas are so friendly and fun to watch. Definately buy the POP ticket...

Yeah I think you need about 4-5 hours, I agree.
You can pack sandwhiches and snacks so you can avoid those long lines for food.

I agree! We went Friday and spent a good 4 hours and we were only with a 4 month old. So 5 hours might be better.

We just went this Wednesday. Yes it is crowded but no unbearable.
We were there from 10:30 to 5:00 and it wasn't enough time. We missed alot.
My suggestion.. Get there when the park opens.. you can always leave early if you see it all.
