Any fun day trip ideas?
So next weekend is the only weekend DH and I will have together until Thanksgiving (he is taking Saturday classes, leaving Sundays for catching up on everything else). We would love to do something fun next weekend but we don't know what to do (we are such homebodies I could see us hanging around in pj's all weekend )
Any ideas for day trips?

I have recco'd this to other people before--
New Hope, Pa/Lambertville, NJ
Cute towns next to each other on the PA/NJ border-- it would be a fun day.

I have heard nice things about New Hope. And Peddler's Village.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

No vino for me these days. At least until February and maybe more if I breast feed.
But maybe pumpkin picking would be nice.

Re: Any fun day trip ideas?
we;ve been to Peddlers Village and its nice to walk around ther-e- I would not plan to eat there though--
Also, I am not sure if it still goes on- but on the weekends, there is th Rice Market-- which is a craft/flea/farmrs market type thing. In Lambertville I think.
we had driven through there on our way to Philly one time-- then we were just there for the night Mem day weekend...
We went to the Rice market, then Peddlers Villages-- cause it;s on the way back-- even though it's right there-- so you can do Peddlers Village on the way in-- then Rice market on the way out.

Re: Any fun day trip ideas?
The museum of natural history is good for a day trip. You can tour the museum and if you want to pay a little extra you can pay for some of the extras. IMAX movie documentries, exhibits, etc...
And if you're up to it go across the street to Central Park for a walk. There are alot of restaurants on the west side by the museum where you can eat outside if it's nice out.
If you don't want to drive take the LIRR to Penn and the C train to 81st.
My DH used to work there so I used to go all the time.

Don't worry, I have felt so good so far that I sometimes forget too.
