Central Square Cafe has a private room.
I went to a bridal shower at the Old Stone Mill, but that was a big room.

Jackson and Wheeler is in Pleasantville.
www.jacksonandwheeler.com. Had my daughters baby naming there and it was wonderful! $25 a head for a full amazing champagne and jazz brunch. Private room too.

I have been to two awesome showers at Lexington Square Cafe and bakery in Mount Kisco. They are phenomenal and are also online. If you google you can find them. Huge shower place up here. LSC has two private rooms. I think I was quoted 22 a head, maybe less. They do brunch and lunch.

eta: www.lexingtonsquarecafe.com and look up all the pics through the website.

I've never had a bad experience there. I told DH he should drive by on his way home from work & to see what it is now.

I have to say I always thought Central Square Cafe stunk - so I'm not sorry to see it go..

I live very closeby that area and this only happened in the last couple weeks -

The Mont Parnesse (sp?) diner closed further down on Central Ave, and took over the location where Central Square used to be. I am not sure if its still a 'traditional' diner like Mont Parnesse was , but I'll probbaly give it a try eventually (I liked the Mont Parnesse diner!)

Felicia, I'm in shcok, really! I was actually considering going to Central Square this weekend, but we decided to go into the city instead!

I live really close to it too, but I've been away & on LI, haven't been on Central Avenue in a while.
I loved Central Square. Chat Icon

Metsgirle, I was looking on the Westchester magazine site, and there really aren't many places with party rooms in lower westchester.
I have been to a few things in the Bronx, and futher up ( Cold Spring,Garison), for my Westchester friend, but not around us.

I know my friend who had her shower a the Old Stone Mill, was orignally thinking of that for her rehearsal dinner, but I'm not sure what they decided on for that now.

Me too all occassions I go to are in LI. Now my in-laws are throwing around the idea of a bbq in their back yard. I wish they would make up their minds already Chat Icon Chat Icon

As for Central Square, DH worked there a long time ago and we went a few times and I always liked it. Not crazy for it but it was ok. I know they had a private room so that is why I thought of it. I am going to call Roma and Angelina's in Tuckahoe.

RIP, Central Square Cafe!! Chat Icon

I guess I just always hit the place on a bad day maybe? And I hated that bar area, it was such a meet market - ok maybe I'm basing my opinions of the place back when I was single and dating and had one too many bad experiences at the bar Chat Icon Chat Icon

But Heather is are right - in 'lower Westchester" I just cannot come up with many places with a nice room for a shower. I don't know the New Rochelle area too well, but I would guess they have some places there ..

Good luck Metsgirlie, I'm a Westchester girl my whole life and even I am not that good with this stuff anymore
