Help with car seats...
Did you register for a convertible car seat for up to 40lbs? If so which one did you get? Thanks

Re: Help with car seats...
We registered for this one by Eddie Bauer, at BRU
Elite 3 in 1 car seat. You can use it for infant all the way up to 100 lbs!
We also registered for the infant carseat that fits in the stroller. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Help with car seats...
We had the convertible car seat (eddie bauer) which we're still using for a 2 year old and the infant car seat (graco snug ride) -
I originally was only registering for the convertible until I was talked out of it by the BTDT moms. Reason you'd want both - when they're babies, they tend to fall asleep a lot in the car. If you only have the convertible, you have to unstrap them & take them out which wakes them up.

Re: Help with car seats...
We have a snugride and now we use the Evenflo Triumph 5. We got that one since it was rated just as high as the Britax by consumer reports for safety, but was more in our budget. Sarah seems happy in it, she babbles and laughs the whole time we are in the car.

Re: Help with car seats...
After the baby has outgrown the infant seat (23lbs or so) then you use the stroller part without the infant seat. I put down 2 convertible carseats, a snap n go and a travel system with infant carrier and received all of it for my shower.

Re: Help with car seats...
I have the Britax Marathon for both my kids. Marathon goes up to 65 lbs which may seem huge when they are small but my son is almost 3 1/2 and is about 40 lbs now. He can't really go into a booster till he's 4 yrs old so Im glad I have a convertible that goes higher than 40 lbs.

Re: Help with car seats...
I registered for the infant car seat, and a convertible car seat. At my shower, I ended up only getting the infant seat, which we used in the stoller (we did not have a Snap and Go). When he was ready for his convertible, we purchased the Britax Marathon ourselves, from an internet site, $50 cheaper, with no tax or shipping.

Re: Help with car seats...
We used a Graco Snugride as the infant seat and then a Britax Marathan and a Roundabout. If your car is on the small side you need to see which fits best. The Marathan is really big and would not work as well in a small Civic, for instance. I went by which car seats were top rated by Consumer Reports at the time.

Re: Help with car seats...
We registered for the graco snugride/travel system, and a snap n go frame for when she's little. And when she grows out of those we registered for the Britax Marathon (we have a Murano & Altima), and if we decide we are need two big carseats, we plan on getting the evenflow triumph down the line.
