Re: Not sure what board this goes on but, How soon after...
My OB told me to use condoms until 3 months after -- he has a patient who got pregnant 3 weeks aftter her M/C (had not even gotten a period yet) and miscarried that one as well.
So I think you are fertile quite quickly but it is not advisable to actually get pregnant until you hae gone through your cycle at least 3 times -- to help get the uterus back in shape so to speak.... What does your Dr. say?

I know girls on here who've gotten PG a week or 2 after miscarrying - my dr. told me to wait at least one AF cycle before TTC again... but it can happen right away!

Thank you
At the time of the MC we were not trying. I didn't even know I was PG. My Dr. told me to wait to be intimate for 2 weeks and then you can go back to "normal".

Re: Not sure what board this goes on but, How soon after...
I had a miscarriage on 12/12/04. Went to my Dr's office two weeks later for a follow-up and he told us to wait 2-3 months. Well, what we didn't know was at the time of the follow-up I was pregnant again! I conceived about one week after the m/c. I was TERRIFIED, but when I saw my ob/gyn again, he assured me that there is absolutely no statistical evidence that conceiving right after a miscarriage raises your risk of a recurrent miscarriage. He even said that the research shows that women tend to be most fertile in the first few months following a miscarriage. He told me the only reason why he recommends waiting a few months is (a) for emotional reasons, and (b) superstition from the old days. Now, here I am 23 weeks pregnant and our little bean is doing just wonderfully. Good luck in whatever you decide!

I was told to wait two months before TTC. I think it depnds on how far along you are. The farther along, the longer the wait.
