Landscaping (not lawn maintenance)

Can anyone recommend someone near me? We got a new, large front stoop in the fall and want to do some landscaping for the whole front of the house... shrubs, plants, a tree maybe, etc...

I am in Wantagh/Seaford/Levittown area.

I see lots of ads in Pennysaver now but would prefer to get a recommendation.

TIA

Re: Landscaping (not lawn maintenance)

My friends do garden planning as well as lawn maintenance, so they might be able to help.

Hey Kara- Thanks for the housecleaning info! My husband owns a landscaping co in Seaford but he does all areas of LI. They do virtual imagining where they take a picture of your house and then put in whatever you think you want or whatever they recommend and you can see what it looks like and whether or not you like it BEFORE you do it!

Sorry I didn't know you weren't allowed to advertise- although I wasn't trying to advertise just trying to help!!Chat Icon

Sorry to hijack, but I also really want to have a professional in to at least help us with the design of our garden. I don't mind doing the planting myself, but would love a plan.

Anyone know how much this costs?

I don't think you were advertising -- I asked for a recommendation and you gave one - which I greatly appreciate especially since they are in the area. Nothing wrong with that...or is there??? Jeez!

Re: Landscaping (not lawn maintenance)

I got a lot of books, watched the home design shows and pretty much did it all myself. I wanted to do something professional but in the end I really liked how I put my own sweat into the projects and how it all turned out. It's nothing over the top but it was something I did and took a lot of pride in my work.
