Wireless Laptop

Do you think I would be able to use a wireless laptop in the hospital? I spend most of the day with my dad, and I thought maybe I could bring my laptop there and try to get a little work done there. I know cell phones are not a llowed to be on because they can interfere with the machines, Do you think the wireless signal from a laptop could interfere also?
thanks,
Scott

Re: Wireless Laptop

I was at the hospital today from 10:30am till 8:30pm. Then went to my sisters for dinner and then home to work. I am almost finished for the night, and I am exhausted

Re: Wireless Laptop

Most hospitals aren't equipped for wireless. When my mom was in the hospital, I brought her a loan laptop from work & she used dial-up. Not ideal but since she was there for awhile it helped alleviate her boredom.

Re: Wireless Laptop

I lent my SIL my laptop when she was on bedrest in the hospital-I had a wireless aircard-which I believe works off of satellites not towers. They probably DO have wireless though I would think

Re: Wireless Laptop

You can also plug it into his phone. My Aunt did this in the hospital. Just ask ahead but it was OK for her.

Re: Wireless Laptop

I was in the hospital for a long time and I just plugged my laptop into the phone there. You have to have some sort of dial up service, I had AOL with dial up capabilities.
