Re: Quick City Question....
When I've done that walk, it;s taken me about 20 minutes. I'd get a cab just to be safe.

Re: Quick City Question....
it's 5 city blocks which could take some time - I always walk it but if I had to be somewhere at a certain time then I'd take a cab

Re: Quick City Question....
If you ride on the front of the train, you can exit on the 8th Avenue side & catch a cab by the Post Office.

Re: Quick City Question....
I would suggest a cab! Especially if it's a humid day. It's possible to walk it in 20 minutes, but only if you're speed walking!
(Penn is on 33rd btw 7 & 8th and GC is on 42nd & Park)

You might be thinking of the "S" shuttle which runs btw Port Authority (42nd & 8th and Grand Central). The "L" runs on 14th St from 8th Ave to Brooklyn.

Re: Quick City Question....
Leave extra time for a cab - it's one of the most frustrating cab rides. Not very far, but lots of traffic.

Re: Quick City Question....
I'd definitely cab it or if you are on a train that stops at woodside, you can get off there and get the 7 train -- that stops in grand central station.
