Re: Refinishing Wood Floors
We just had this done this week. Just the living room/dining room and hall. Our floors were in good condition so we just needed a light sanding and 2 coats of polyurathane (sp?). The person we used was recommended by two of my dad's co-workers. The owner is a young Polish man (only been in business for about 3 years & has only been doing it for 5 years). We are very pleased with how everything came out. And the price was more than reasonable (less than $500). FM me if you want his info.
The only bad this was the sand everywhere. Even with the doors closed to the BRs and bath it was still a little sandy in them. We stayed at my parents house one night to give it time to air out (the smell was a little overwhelming) and dry more. I wished we had done it before we moved in and during warmer weather so I could've had the windows open. We got lucky though, we had it done this past Mon and Tues.

Re: Refinishing Wood Floors
We have hardwood floors throughout our home and are refinishing before we move in. Some places will quote you for 2 coats of polyurothane, some places will quote for 3 coats. If your floors are pine, get 3 coats. If they are oak, you can get away with 2 coats. They told us no pets or PG women for a week.

Re: Refinishing Wood Floors
We just got the Nursery done. It came out great! We used Novak Flooring, they are in the yellow pages. They were reasonable too. We're having them back to do our stairs.
