Anyone know where I can get a "car cooler?"
I dont' even know how to describe this - but I've seen this..it's a little tiny fridge/cooler that plugs into the lighter in your car so things stay refrigerated. I am on medication that requires refrigeration and we're thinking of going camping this weekend. When I'm out for the day, I carry an insulated bag with ice packs, but there's no way that would work for a whole weekend.
Any idea what I'm talking about or where I could get on? I tried looking on BedBath site, but I don't even know what to call it!!
Much thanks!

I got one at Kohl's a few years ago, but not sure if they still have them.

I thought I've seen them around and cannot think of where now... maybe BBB.
I found this one online though a little pricey...

Re: Anyone know where I can get a "car cooler?"
Thanks ladies!!
Jess - I just saw the one you posted on the target site - thanks!! Didn't really want to spend $50, but it's actually the cheapest choice!
I wonder if they have that in stock - I can't go camping if I can't get it
I know that when you plug things into your car lighter - the car doesn't have to be on - but do you think that would drain the battery?

Re: Anyone know where I can get a "car cooler?"
We bought one from Walgreens last year. It was really cheap, about $25 and it worked ok. It kept things cool, but a more expensive one may work better. My only advice is to remember to unplug it when you turn your car off. We forgot to do this one night and it killed our car battery. Thank goodness for Onstar.

Re: Anyone know where I can get a "car cooler?"
I know I have seen them in the store at Target. As far as keeping it plugged in when the car isn't running, I don't know if it will stay on. I know if my cell phone charger is plugged in with the car off, it doesn't charge. Maybe you can keep the medicine inside a plastic bag in a cooler full of ice. We had an Igloo cooler (one of the bigger rectangle ones) we bought for $20 at Target and filled it with ice and soda. After 3 days, there was still some ice cubes floating in it and the sodas in it were still ice cold -- as if they had been refrigerated.
