I still wear mine! It's a great investment.
I think they sell them at A Pea In A Pod. I don't remember where I got mine.

Yes, it is an elastic band that you can wear with your pre-pregnancy pants this way you can leave them unbuttoned and/or unzipped. Also, you can use them with maternity clothes that are too large and tend to fall down.
Now, at 40 weeks, I use mine because my pants and shirts don't fit over my belly, so I put that on so people don't see my stomach.

Re: Bella Band- Wearing mine for the 1st time today
interesting!
Product Description The Bella Band is a seamless knit band you wear at your waistline, over your unbuttoned pre-pregnancy pants, over slightly big maternity pants, or around the waistband of any maternity style that falls down around your hips. The Bella Band holds your pants up, disguising bulky unfastened closures or excessive fabric creating a smooth belly surface. Now, no one has to know your pants are undone or loose. Wear the Bella Band concealed, or let it peek out from under your top for that hip, layered look. If your top rises, it looks like a t-shirt or camisole -- not a funky mechanism to expand your waistband or hold up your pants.

Google Bella Band and they give you a list of stores and on-line places to purchase them.
Nordstrom and duematernity.com sell them for $26

Re: Bella Band- Wearing mine for the 1st time today
Does it give any support or is it for decorative purposes only, you think?
I was thinking of gettng one with support for later. I remember regretting that I didn't get it when I was pregnant the first time, because I definitely needed it toward the end. I felt like I want to hold my stomach from the bottom all the time

my SIl used it for 40 weeks b/c of the support...she swears she got not one strech mark because of it
