Moms with DDs - Christening dress question.
Did you put the dress on before you left the house or when you got to the church? I cant see how I will be able to buckle Paige in the carseat with the dress on.

We dressed her at the church since she was in a long gown, for the same reasons you mentioned.
I took more pics of her at home after the party that afternoon.

We dressed her at the church too, since the gown is long. We changed her into another dress before we left the church.

Our DD had a long gown and we easily dressed her at home and had no problem getting her in and buckled into her seat.
We had a photographer so we dressed her at home to take pics of her dress on bed, her getting dressed, etc.
dont worry, her dress did not get ruined or wrinkled. for us if we waited till our church there would have been NO time. they werent allowing anyone in the church earlier than 15 minutes before baptism b/c there was a mass right before the baptisms. and we didnt want to dress her there especially with guests, we had a packed church. over 50 members just of our family showed up at the church.

Dressed her at home took pictures than undressed her and dressed her again at the church. Her dress was silk dupioni and wrinkled easily.

We dressed her before and we had a long dress. I just pulled the dress up from her legs to buckle her in. Now looking back, I should have dressed her there because it was so hot out.
