Pelvic Pressure -- 3rd Trimester Ladies (kind of long)
Does anyone else have this? I had it a few weeks ago, but it was only for one day. I thought (as well as some other people) that maybe I was dehydrated and that's why I was in so much pain.
But now, this has been hurting since Sunday. I even had to call in sick yesterday. Do any of you ladies that are in your 3rd trimester get this?
DH and I have been watching our lamaze video and DH swears that the baby is "changing stations" as he says. Is it too early for this? I will be 32 weeks tomorrow. As of my last sono at 30 weeks, is head down.

I remember with Damien it felt like and the end he would just fall out. Normal!

Re: Pelvic Pressure -- 3rd Trimester Ladies (kind of long)
Thank you ladies
It seems that those of you that have it are a little further along than I am.
Is it too early for me to have this? I moved up my appointment next week to make sure everything is OK, but I am nervous that it's too soon to be getting this.

Re: Pelvic Pressure -- 3rd Trimester Ladies (kind of long)
I've noticed this more and more lately as well Steph. I never really had the pelvic pressure since I've been carrying high, but lately I do feel it and I guess that is all part of getting closer to the finish line!
Can I also say that I had to LAUGH at your DH asking you if the baby was changing stations Are you guys watching the Laugh & Learn Lamaze DVD? We finished it up this past weekend and now my husband thinks he is a freaking obstetrician with all the questions he asks.. After my internal yesterday, Anthony was like "how effaced and dialated are you? What station is the baby in?" Since when did he become a doctor
Oh and DH also asks me daily (jokingly) if I've lost "my plug" (I think I've created a monster! )

We just started watching it last week and DH and I felt like we didn't know anything. Now I'm obsessed with looking for my mucus plug.

YES we are watching the Laugh and Learn DVD! Thanks for the rec .
What you said sounds oddly familiar . DH does the same exact thing! He thinks he knows more than my doctor all of a sudden. Yesterday he asked me if my vaginal discharge has changed because then that would mean that we are really getting closer

I have had some pressure here and there lately (I'm 32 weeks and it probably started 3 weeks ago,) but not as bad as you're describing.

Re: Pelvic Pressure -- 3rd Trimester Ladies (kind of long)
I think it's pretty normal for you to be feeling this way. I looked back at my old posts and I found that I first questioned the normalcy of feeling this way just after my 30 wk appt, where I also learned the baby was in birth position. I'm also short and the baby is very low. That could add to why it started so early. HTH

Re: Pelvic Pressure -- 3rd Trimester Ladies (kind of long)
Nicole and Stephanie - we'll have to get our DH's together so they can figure out which one of them knows the most about labor , lamaze and delivery now Though I will say that I knew a lot less than I thought I did after seeing that DVD.. I learned a lot too.
Stephanie - I don't think 32 wks is too early to be feeling the pelvic pressure, though of course only your doctor knows best. Do you think you'll get an internal next week? They might be able to make sure you aren't dialating yet , and can alleviate some of your concerns. But I think you said you've been carrying low all along, right? That's the reason I think it sounds somewhat normal for you to maybe be getting this a little sooner than someone like me, who is carrying high-

Re: Pelvic Pressure -- 3rd Trimester Ladies (kind of long)
Thank you!
Yes, I have been carrying very low. I'm not sure that I will get an internal. I am going to tell them how bad the pressure is and maybe they will opt to do one.
I'm just hoping I don't have this baby too early. I have NOTHING ready.

I'm bumping this because I'm wondering what ever happened? I'm 31 weeks and the pain has just become unbearable. I can barely walk (once I get going I'm Ok) but I'm having so much pain and pressure. Just wondering what your doc said.
BTW feeling any better?

I have a lot of pelvic pain...I went for a sono the other day and the dr. said that the baby is head down already...so I think that is why I feel pain

Re: Pelvic Pressure -- 3rd Trimester Ladies (kind of long)
My pelvic pain was excrutiating the last three weeks of my pregnancy. I could barely stand up it hurt so badly. One of the twins head was all the way down there (to the point they couldn't even get doppler scans on his head). That is why is was so bad at the end.
I also had 11 pounds of babies in me though so hopefully yours won't be that bad.
Prior to the last three weeks though i had nothing.

I am so bad...I should have posted an update.
I ended up going to the doctor the next day because I was also seeing pink in my discharge.
It turned out that my cervix is still closed (which is really good). She said that I am carrying very low so what I am feeling is in fact pressure, but not the pressure of him moving into my pelvic bone.
I still have the pain and some days it is almost unbearable. I just can't wait for this to be over and for him to be here already.
I hope you feel better soon. I know exactly what you are going through and it is NOT fun!

Thank you for your response. I found out today that they equal over 7 lbs and Baby A's head is laying right down there!!! I know what you mean about it being unbearable - It takes me a full minute to roll from one side to another in bed and to get up - oh forget about that- it kills, and then the first few steps take forever, it hurts so bad! As much as I don't want everyone to go through this with my short cervix, I'm so glad to hear its common. I hope everyone feels better from this pressure - ouch!!!!!

Re: Pelvic Pressure -- 3rd Trimester Ladies (kind of long)
yes! i had it for the last 8 weeks (about) w/ DS. he was head down since 25 weeks along and stayed there so i think that contributed to the pressure. i would get up and think he was going to fall right out! it was amazing how much pressure there was!
