Effects of going off the pill
I was reading posts on here about side affects people were having from going off the pill. What I didn't see, and was wondering, was when they started and how long they lasted. I suffer from migraines, and about a week after going off I started getting them EVERYDAY. I've had this for about another week now and think that's the cause (any body/medication changes trigger my migraines), and I was wondering how long this was likely to last. I know everyone's different, but I was wondering if it was generally days, weeks or even months people have had effects. Thanks!

Re: Effects of going off the pill
I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well!!
I had terrible side effects...one migraine that happened on christmas morning :( and i was crampy, bloated and miserable feeling for 2 weeks...
however it turned out i got pregnant right after going off so i am pretty sure everything i experienced was a combination of the huge hormonal things happening to me.
**just so you know..migraines happen in early pregnancy, is there any chance you are?? Going off the pill is supposed to improve heachaches for the most part

Re: Effects of going off the pill
Just to comment on the headaches.. I generally dont get headaches but the first few days off the pill the migranes were so bad I thought I should go to the hospital. I thought something was gonna burst in there.. So I think the side affects for everyone are gonna be different..

Re: Effects of going off the pill
Thanks! Maybe one more week of this and I'll feel better. I can last through that. Just as long as its not longer. My DH is already saying he can't stand me with the headaches and I should go back on the pill! I'm not pg, just adjusting. Thanks again!

Re: Effects of going off the pill
Nicole, I FM'd you because of the migraines. I had a similar situation when I went off the pill. It was awful. When I explain this to anyone, they just can't comprehend how painful it was. I was literally home, in bed for 2 weeks straight. I went to see a Chiropractor and it helped break the cycle of these headaches. I still get them once in a while (never did prior to BCP) but they're a piece of cake compared to that. My advise to you is don't go back on, just let your body adjust.

Re: Effects of going off the pill
Yeah, I've had to leave work twice already. Luckily I have a medication that works pretty well, but I'm running low and can't get to the doc for another 3 weeks, so I was trying not to use it all. It's something I can't take while I'm pg, so I hope that they get better when the time comes. Thanks.
