Did you buy a lot of child proofing things??

I am obviously getting a gate for the stairs but i also registered for things like the stove gaurd and table bumpers. Now my SIL didnt use any of them she i guess eventually taught her kids not to go to these places but i am wondering if i should get them anyway?Maybe even just get them for my moms house?

Gates & cabinet locks. It took all of 2 seconds for them to get the computer guard & the lock for the stereo/vcr thing off.

We bought the gates for the stairs.

DH is such a gadget guy and bought a cover for the power strip, velcro "lock" for the fridge, cabinet lock for the computer, door stopper, outlet covers and then I drew the line. I was like you can't lock up the house. You have to teach DD right/wrong and watch her. I do not leave him alone in that section of the store anymore.

We got gates - use them all the time.
We got door locks (for the lever handles) - use them all the time because my son has been opening doors since he was about 11 months old.
Stove knobs - we have them, and use them, but Jesse hasn't gone near the stove yet.
Drawer locks - we use these because he is always trying to open drawers and doors, and he likes to climb - on anything.
Guards for the table - Jesse is very rambunctious and not very careful yet, so he is always bumping into things. We have very sharp corners on our bedroom furniture, so we put the guards on that.

That's about it. DH still wants a toilet guard but hasn't found one he likes yet.
