MySpace people....what if?

your DH had one of his friends as someone in the area and was of the opposite sex? This chick is just looking for friends, but she's 23 with 2 kids and I find her to be REALLY pretty. I looked at her profile the other day and was able to see her comments left by others and now they are private comments.

Should I either send her a message and tell her to leave MY DH alone and/or tell DH to remove her from his friends list.

BTW: one of the comments he left her included "chat with you again sometime"

Re: MySpace people....what if?

Ick, I would be pizzed, but I would talk to Rich, not her. I don't even think he should be chatting in a friendly way with random women on myspace.

did already and he said he'd delete her but he hasn't yet
and I don't know if he actually "chatted" with her....I think she found via a town search

That's kinda odd that he hasn;t if he said he would. If he said "Chat with you again," I'd assume they chatted or sent messages to each other.

I guess I would talk to him about it again. I don't blame you for being annoyed by it. It's just unnecessary. Maybe it's just me that feels this way, but it seems like Myspace just opens the door to all sorts of problems. Not that I'm saying there's anything sneaky going on here, but it's still posing some kind of a problem. Chat Icon

i wouldnt send a message to Her. i would think that was weird if someones wife sent me a message saying "dont talk to MY husband"... but i dont talk to random guys, so i dont know. But, i think this is between you and your DH, and you need to talk about it with Him. you can send her a message, she could delete him from her list, and he could just add some other chick. you have to solve it with Him.

That's how I feel about myspace.

Shana, I would talk to Rich again.

I would talk to him again about it...I wouldn't talk to her.

There is an option where you can block another person...if you know his password you can block her in the private settings area.

I don't know, my DH would get really upset with me if I logged in under him and blocked her...That makes you look like the bad guy, and that would give him a reason to be mad at you. I don't really condone logging in with someone else's password without their knowledge ever.

Re: MySpace people....what if?

I'd just talk to him again about it. I'd even tell him, if you don't delete her, I will be sending her a message. I'm sure he doesn't want you to do that, and will delete her then. This is why I hate myspace. It's creates such stupid situations that should never happen. JT and I have no secrets on there, and he'll ask me to log into his account to check an email for him or something, but still, random chicks email him all the time, and he never responds, but it's just like, hello, he's married, don't email himChat Icon

I don't know, I feel like that lowers yourself to their level. That's breaking their trust, so it's doing what you are imagining them doing. I couldn't trust my DH again if he felt he couldn't trust me and resorted to logging into my email, myspace, whatever, instead of talking to me (or even in addition to talking to me). I've never been in that situation, so I can't say for certain, but if I didn't trust him I don't know if it would help if I logged in and attempted to take some of the temptation away. If he wants to cheat/talk to other women, he will find a way.

Yeah, I thought of that... I added "I've never been in that situation, so I can't say for certain, but if I didn't trust him I don't know if it would help if I logged in and attempted to take some of the temptation away. If he wants to cheat/talk to other women, he will find a way." I just feel like whatever small things you do will really do nothing if he wants to cheat. It's like taking away one bottle of alcohol from an alcoholic. If there's a will, there's a way to get more. Now I don't think Rich is cheating, but I do think that if he knows this upsets Shana he should change how he is acting.

I don't see what the big deal is. Chat Icon People on MySpace usually just like to "pad" the amount of friends they have.

I wouldn't message her. I would probably just send him a public message from his wife to remove her on his myspace page.

Re: MySpace people....what if?

I would talk to him, not her. I mean, it isn't "her" per se that is the problem right, I mean, you wouldn't want him talking to any other pretty girl from the area either right?

I think you should let him know that it is not acceptable to you that he has these online friendships. I used to think that went without saying but from what I've been reading lately...I'm not so sure.

Also, I agree with what the others say as well. I mean, just because someone isn't doing something wrong on their personal myspace account what is to stop them from setting up another one you may or may not know about?
