Renewing home insurance and mortgage company question...
After you renew your home insurance for the year do you need to send a copy of the policy to your mortgage company? I remember reading/hearing about this somewhere. Does the insurance company automatically do this? Thanks.

I wanted to update this in case anyone else needed this info. Yes the insurance company does send the updated policy to your mortgage company.

the insurance company should send both you and your mortgage company a copy of your policy every year it renews. You shouldn't have to do it yourself. You just might want to make sure that the insurance company has the correct address for the mtg. co.
