this dog is going to be the death of me......
well i had to take off of work today....
MAGGIE HAS FOOD BLOAT!!!
it started yesterday morning when she somehow got the garbage off the kitchen countertop - still can't figure out how.... and ate a whole bag of old probubly stale dog biscuits... then i came home from work and there was shredded newspapers all over the house!!! then when i ran inside the house i had go the bathroom so bad!! so i ran in and put my bags int he DR table..maybe 4 minutes later i came out and maggie was ON the DR table and ate a whole 1/4 sheet cake - uniced.... i was dumbfounded....... then over the course of the afternoon evening she became very restless uneasy and just could not get confortable. i felt so bad for her i knew she had a tummy ache then i picked her up and OH MY GOD!!! she wasl ike 5lbs heavier and her belly was huge!!!!! then we went to bed... she was up akll nmight long jumping on and off the bed i took her out to go potty at 12am, 2am, 4am and nothing... so i took her to the vet this am and they took xrays and her stomach is 2x the size it should be and all the food basically brought her digestive system to a hault!! they gave her 2 shots and i have to give her pecid ac tonight and talke her for walks every hour!
my poor baby has a eating problem!!!! she's a over eater!!! and she has a bad mommy who doesnt remember this~~~

You are very lucky -- Ebony got bloat a few years ago but his stomach had FLIPPED 180 degrees -- cutting off all circulation. He had to have his stomach pumped, twisted back, and then stapled to his abdoment so it didn't flip again --- at 2 in the morning. And for $7,000.
The important thing is that your baby is OK!

Re: this dog is going to be the death of me......
Yesterday Bama ate an entire bag of my Keeblers reese's peanut butter cup cookies! That's like 40 cookies! Then he threw up a number of times last night. Thank goodness we didn't have to go through what you did though. We have to be really careful about leaving food on the counter or leaving the pantry door open. I can't get mad at Bama because it's OUR fault when he gets into food, not his.
Hope your pup is better soon!
